Scheherezade is a symphonic suite composed by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov in 1888. It is based on based on One Thousand and One Nights, or The Arabian Nights. It is considered Rimsky-Korsakov’s most popular work. This easy piano arrangement includes one the most popular themes.

About the Composer
Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov (18 March [O.S. 6 March] 1844 – 21 June [O.S. 8 June] 1908) was a Russian composer, and a member of the group of composers known as “The Five.” Noted particularly for a predilection for folk and fairy-tale subjects as well as his extraordinary skill in orchestration, his best known orchestral compositions—Capriccio espagnol, Russian Easter Festival Overture, and the symphonic suite Scheherazade—are considered staples of the classical music repertoire, along with suites and excerpts from some of his 15 operas.
